About
Since its founding in 2009, Underground Energy has performed a diverse range of geothermal design projects, feasibility studies, and energy master plans at campuses, real estate developments, state capitols, data centers, mining camps, and green buildings in diverse geologic and climate settings across North America. Underground Energy focuses on the ground conditions and renewable thermal resources that are unique to every site, and we design open- and closed-loop ground heat exchangers that optimize the potential for seasonal storage of thermal energy using Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage (ATES) and Borehole Thermal Energy Storage (BTES) technologies.
