The Association of Energy Engineers – Capital Region (AEE-CR) and the American Society of Heating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Northeast Chapter (ASHRAE-NE) in conjunction with Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) are proud to host a day long symposium to showcase the Malta Campus, which comprises two new LEED buildings: the Training and Education Center for Semiconductor Manufacturing and Alternative and Renewable Technologies building otherwise known as TEC-SMART, and the STEM Education Center. Totaling $25M in sustainable building design and geothermal sourced heating and cooling, the HVCC North Campus serves as a critical component in preparing students for a new economy that promotes job growth, environmental sustainability, and technological innovation. Simply, Hudson Valley is producing a local skilled workforce to serve employers in the Capital Region. This symposium comprises a packed day of workforce development, networking, and continuing education for individuals at all levels, which include students ready (or nearly ready within a semester) to enter the workforce, professionals seeking accreditation’s, and employers ready to recruit. The attendance capacity is 250 (with 40-50 students), who will be engaged by four tracks of comprehensive programming from the host organizations.
